This large sculptural vase is vintage Italian art glass, featuring a dramatic green base with black mottled spatter fused into the glass. The heavy weight, thick walls, and organic modern form are characteristic of Murano studio glass from the 1960s - 1970s.
It retains its original “Made in Italy” label. While the specific furnace is unknown, the technique and design are consistent with Murano production (makers such as Fratelli Toso, Vistosi, and A.Ve.M. produced similar spatter glass forms).
Excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. Light surface wear consistent with age.
Approx measures 13" h x 6" in diameter at base x 5.25" in diameter at mouth opening.
