Originally developed for use at CBS Sony Shinanomachi Studio (now Sony Music Studios), these headphones were later sold for professional studio use and have been beloved by many recording studios. In addition to studio personnel, they have also gained tremendous trust from artists, and have been featured in TV, radio, and magazines. As a result, there was a surge in requests from the general public to purchase them, and in response to those demands, sales to consumers began in 1990 and continue to this day.

This has successfully achieved clear sound quality with minimal distortion, just as the original sound image.

By adopting the uniquely developed driver unit, the resolution (detection limit) required for monitoring has also been significantly improved. It meticulously reproduces subtle differences such as the outline of the sound, the positioning, and the sense of echo spread, conveying the "true sound" to the ears.

There are some scratches and stains due to aging and use.
The red part of the ear pads (see photo 3) has deteriorated, but there are no functional problems, and they produce a good sound close to the original sound.

Since there is no original box, we will take care in packaging, wrapping them in air-cushion packaging (bubble wrap) and storing them in a recycled cardboard box for shipping.
