Here we have two vintage floursacks, probably from the 1940s or 1950s. They are a matching set, featuring scrolls, edged in green with pink flowers in the middle on a light gray background. These two floursacks have had the seams taken out, but you can still see the impression of the holes around the edges of the fabric. At some point they were sewn together end to end with a machine sewn seam, as can be seen in some of the photographs.

Separately, each piece measures approximately 36 inches wide by 46 inches long.

Flour was sold in fabric sacks during the depression era into the late 1950s and early 1960s. These sacks were a source of many items of clothing and quilts during the depression era into the middle of the 20th century.

This beautiful vintage fabric is in great shape, with no holes, tears, or discolorations. After they were sewn together they were stored and well cared for, and are in remarkable shape for fabric of this age.
