For your consideration is this lovely tapestry change purse. This piece features a petit point floral design on front against black fabric, a brown lucite handle (did not test positive for Bakelite) embossed No. 22, and black oil cloth inner lining. According to Newspaper advertisements (Newspapers online document repository), change purses such as these often came inside tapestry handbags, matching the fabric. These were popular during the 1950s and 1960s. The piece measures 3.6 inches long x 0.5 inches deep x 3.5 inches high. There is no maker's tag or identification found on the piece. Condition: Fabric shows little to no signs of previous use, but frame does have some minor abrasions observed in bright light. Frame has been wiped and sanitized prior to photographing.
