These were for the Hout circuit in TV cathode ray tubes, with 1500V (Vcb). They're no longer needed now.
The package is the nostalgic TO3.
Nowadays, they could be used in current amplifiers for the final stage of ultra-triode connections in vacuum tube amplifiers, taking advantage of their power supply and high voltage resistance. Isn't the TO3 shape cool?
They are unused, but they are old.
