Vintage German Style Musical Beer Stein Mug Plays How Dry I Am 3D Raised Relief 8.5"

Very colorful hand painted 3D raised relief design that on one side depicts a beer garden with a woman serving a man beer. The other side is a village landscape scene with castle and trees. There is a bottom border of painted blue and red cherubs.

Music box plays the tune "How Dry I Am" which was composed by Irving Berlin in 1919 as part of "The Near Future" that debuted in The Ziegfeld Follies of 1919 and later popularized by Artie Shaw in 1937.

Stein measures 8 1/2" H.

Unmarked but I assume it was made Japan with a Sankyo Music Box.

Stein is in very good vintage condition with minor expected finish wear in a few spots from age/use. Music box plays great. There is a brass stop on the bottom of the mug that works when pressed but does not engage to shut off the music when the mug is placed on a flat surface because it is slightly below the edge of the mug. Please see pictures for details.
