This bohemian inspired hat is by Mudd. Made of soft woven paper straw in a chocolate brown, the hat has a flexible steel insert along the edge that allows it to be adjusted. Has a chocolate brown braided paper straw band tied together with a large knot on one side & a 5” high crown with teardrop shaped top. Interior has 1” wide chocolate brown ribbon band around opening with a Mudd fabric tag sewn in. Dimensions 14 1/2” through the middle, 12” long, 7” wide interior & 22” circumference. Hat is from the late 1990’s & is in wonderful vintage condition. Small area on interior where straw has unraveled but easily slips back in. Straw band has lifted from glue in few areas but lays flat & can be reglued. No tears, holes, stains to woven paper straw on exterior or interior or to interior ribbon band & no flaws or damage to braided straw band. See all photos.
