"One of the most successful businessmen in the history of New Ipswich. His businesses included lumber, bakery, cigars, wooden matches, ink, flavorings, et al. One of those businesses, the New Ipswich Cigar Company, was one of four cigar businesses in New Hampshire in the 1840s, and was the largest cigar businesses in the country."
