Launched in 1908 and ended in 1955, the most unique series, "Jogakusei Fukusou-cho" (Girl Students' Fashion Guide), is now available in a single volume.
"Jogakusei Fukusou-cho" is an illustrated essay by Junichi Nakahara, who was concerned about the mismatched Western-style clothing of the girl students on the streets in 1937, just before the war.
Until it was abruptly discontinued in 1940 due to pressure from the military, it had a great influence on readers with its very kind and slightly critical advice on how to wear sailor suits, hairstyles, gestures, and more.
This is a luxurious, preserved edition that includes a collection of testimonials from avid readers and a special feature on the "Style Book" supplement, along with many other materials.
