Two kaishu marked Chinese dragon rice eye footed two small soup bowls. They are PRC. The dates and ages of these bowls vary from one website to another. Because of the light blue color they could have been made in 1937. Due to WW11 the war caused a shortage of cobalt used in coloring this dishware. The kaishu mark shown on the bottom of the dishes says they have been made in the 1980s to the present. Translucent rice patterns on the dishes in the shape of flowers make these dishes special. They are hand painted decorated with dragons and bats. They are 6 inches in diameter and 3 1/4 inches tall. They are in perfect condition no cracks no breaks no scratches.
