Vintage edition, with dust jacket. Dust jacket has chips and wear at hinges, flap folds, and spine ends; now in new removable protective cover. Red tweed boards with black print on front and spine. Beige pictorial endpapers, multi green animal characters. There's a trace of wear to the boards, pages are clean and unmarked, with a brief gift inscription on a blank page dated 1968. Very nice. Grosset and Dunlap hardcover, 1943 edition, printing not stated but probably late 1950s from binding style. 14 full page black and white drawings by Harrison Cady, and many smaller spot drawings of animal characters. 191 pages. 12mo (5" x 7.5"). #15 in the Bedtime Story Books series.
