Antique Noritake Hand Painted Sugar Bowl / Muffineer – Camel Desert Scene – Japanese Porcelain

Beautiful antique Noritake hand-painted sugar bowl / muffineer, decorated with a detailed Orientalist desert scene featuring camels, palm trees and distant mountains. The piece is finished in rich sunset tones with a deep cobalt blue band around the rim, highlighted with gilt floral detailing. Raised on three gilt feet and fitted with decorative side handles, giving it a strong decorative presence as well as traditional tableware appeal. The underside bears a Noritake mark, dating this piece to the late 19th / early 20th century, produced for the export market and now highly collectible.
