This listing is for a lovely silver and abalone brooch. Love the simple, classic oval shape of this piece as well as the lacy silver frame encasing the beautifully patterned abalone shell.
The brooch measures roughly 1 1/2 x 1 1/8" and weighs 4.5 grams. The piece is in good vintage condition, but by no means is it perfect. :-) There is some subtle surface wear and tarnishing present. As we all have our own preference in regards to the surface finish we like on our jewelry, I will not be doing any cleaning/polishing of this piece. I'll leave that decision to the buyer. There is a marking: sil on the metal.
