American Needle Official Negro Leagues New York Black Yankees Hat. Part of the American Needle Negro League Collection. The adjustable snapback off-white baseball hat has the black interlocking "NY" logo on the front panels. The New York Black Yankees were a professional Negro league baseball team based in New York City; Paterson, New Jersey; and Rochester, New York. Beginning as the independent Harlem Stars, the team was renamed the New York Black Yankees in 1932 and joined the Negro National League in 1936, and remained in the league through 1948. The hat is in good used condition with no significant rips, stains, or tears. An amazing homage to an important part of baseball history!
