This Happy Midcentury James Sadler English Teapot has handpainted yellow roses with blue Forget-Me-Nots and greenery on an ivory background and gilded in gold leaf.
This teapot measures approximately 7 inches from base to finial and 9 inches from spout to handle. It holds 4 cups of tea.
There are some slight flaws that come with age notably a spot at the base that is shown in picture 8. It is more noticeable when you know it's there. There is some paint loss in places but I tried to take as many pictures as possible so you could see it. Otherwise, there may be some minor wear or loss not specifically noted. Keep in mind this is a 70yr plus teapot that is still fully functional and beautiful. And they are still quite collectible the ones that were made before before the company was sold in 2000 as this one was.
Please keep that in mind when offering.
