Vintage Vestal Alcobaca Ceramic Handled Basket; Blue & White W/Floral Design

This handled ceramic basket is by Vestal Alcobaca Portugal. The basket is off white with an all over hand painted blue design accented with large floral sprays in colors of pink, purple, and yellow with green leaves. Has a top ruffled edging and double intertwining handles edged in blue with a floral design in the same colors as the basket. The round base has rows of blue and one of yellow. It is signed on the bottom. The basket is heavy at just under 3 lbs and the dimensions are 8 1/2” long from both bottom handles, 9 1/4” wide at top of the basket and 13 1/2” high. The exact age of this ceramic basket is not known but it is believed to be from the late 1980’s. It is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches anywhere. There have been no repairs made to the basket and there is no discoloration anywhere on the design. See all photos.
