Vintage hardcover copy of Aesop’s Fables a version for young readers by J. H. Stickney (Ginn & Company, 1915). With illustrations by Charles Livingston Bull. First thus edition, but without print number. Classic collection of fantasy folklore and fairy tales. Moderate wear to covers from handling and age. Corners bumped and somewhat frayed. Binding appears to have been reinforced and is quite strong. Either as a result of this or from slight humidity exposure, text block is faintly wavy. Pages tanned and with some occasional spotty discoloration, mostly to exterior of text block or near edges of pages. See photos for condition.
