This is a fairly large ceramic/ terra cotta cat candle holder. The cat has a sneaky grin and is sitting on a base. The cat has a little bird friend sitting on his shoulder. Inside there is a spot to place the candle.
I don’t think that a candle was ever burned inside the cat, at least I don’t see any signs that it was used to burn a candle.
This vintage cat is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. As with any vintage item there are some light scuffs or marks especially on the base where the cat sits. I tried to highlight them in the pictures. From what I’ve been able to find this item is from the 1980’s.
