Antique Art Deco Sugar Bowl w/Lid

Antique Art Deco Sugar Bowl w/Lid Manufactured by The Ohio Pottery Co., Zanesville, Ohio Expressly for Albert Pick & Co. Chicago. No. 80 is stamped on bottom. Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. The gold has worn from years of handling on the sugar bowl handles and the lid handle.

Beautifully done in an Art Deco design and pattern of Albert Pick design.

Approximately measures 6” inches across to include handles; 3.5” tall to include handle on lid.

SOME HISTORY:

In 1857, the original Albert Pick and his brother Charles founded their Chicago-based company as a supplier of furniture and kitchenware to the hotel and restaurant markets. But it was Albert Pick, Jr.—confusingly the grandson of Charles Pick—who helped the business grow into the biggest of its kind in the country during the early-to-mid 20th century.
