Theda 1940s Sterling, Mother Of Pearl, Marcasite WWII Sweetheart Locket Pendant

This heart shaped pendant locket is made from sterling silver, adorned with the American Eagle emblem resting on mother of pearl background which is surrounded with shimmering marcasite. It opens to a keepsake compartment to place a photo or hair on one side and stamped "STER-Theda-LING" on the other. During WWII soldiers overseas had these engraved and sent to loved ones. "Sweetheart" jewelry was worn to honor & remember men serving.
