Franklin Heirloom

Laureen of County Londonderry is a Franklin Heirloom Porcelain Doll from the Musical Irish County Collection.  Designed by Anne Jackson, she is fitted with an eighteen-note musical movement which plays Londonderry Air.
 A beautiful handmade doll of the Emerald Isle.  Sculptured of fine bisque porcelain and hand painted with dark green glass eyes, red hair and real eye lashes, she wears a walking suit of beige moiré taffeta and ivory satin.  Her skirt is made of six panels with two pleated lace inserts on the front, decorated with two green checked bows and a lace hem.  It also has an overlay of deep green lace at the front and down the back.  Her satin shirt has frilled lace of deep green, which adorns the bodice and collar and it is finished with lace cuffs and green checked bows at the elbows.  She has a cape style jacket with lace appliques on the collar and trimmed with lace and a matching bonnet trimmed with lace and ostrich feathers.
