This is a very cool piece of Staten Island history! I'm not sure what you would call it, it its not a year book but more of a signature book where your classmates can write nice things and sign it. The first Cornelius C Jones died in 1886, he and his family had a successful Oyster business in Staten Island, they lived on Van Pelt avenue in the same house for 140 years. He is buried in Moravian cemetery. From my understanding, the Jones men were all Free Masons. I am guessing this book belonged to his great grand son who also had the same name, he graduated PS 44 in 1945. I have some other items for sale that belonged to the Cornelius C Jones that died in 1886, if you would like to see photos please message me.
