This is a Vintage Lot of 3 popular Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy stories, created by writer and illustrator, Johnny Gruelle. The first two were written and illustrated by him prior to his passing. The third, written by Johnny Gruelle, is illustrated by his son, Worth.

The last printed page of the third book reads, “THE GRUELLE IDEAL: It is the Gruelle Ideal that books for children should contain nothing to cause fright, suggest fear, glorify mischief, excuse malice or condone cruelty. That is why they are called, “BOOKS GOOD FOR CHILDREN."
