[Defective, Functional] Yashica FRII + Yashica ML 50mm 1:2 (Y-5)

The (Y-5) at the end of the product name is a serial number for product management.

This camera is a so-called Contax/Yashica mount aperture-priority AE-only MF SLR camera released by Yashica in 1978.

The body functions well, but the lens condition is not good. There is a 3mm diameter crack (shell crack) on the periphery of the front element. There is also a considerable amount of balsam separation, mainly around the periphery of the front element. It doesn't seem to affect light transmission much, but the image quality may be slightly reduced.

The body's plating has a dull discoloration.

The light seals have been replaced, but it's a DIY job.

There is mold-like dirt on the shutter curtain.

The inside of the viewfinder feels somewhat cloudy.

There are no problems with the mirror and prism.

The strap is a genuine Yashica product and shows considerable wear. Also, there is rust on the metal fittings.

The filter, although not shown in the product image, is a Kenko MC Skylight (1B) 52mm.

The lens cap is a Lumix 52mm substitute.

The battery used for operation check (4LR44, 1 piece) will be left in, but it has been used many times, so it may not last long.
