■This is a late Cold War helmet cover introduced by the Yugoslav People's Army in the late 1960s.
Unused deadstock.
Issued to the ground forces of the People's Army, as well as the ground troops of the navy, air force, and territorial defense forces, and was also widely used by all warring factions in the 1990s civil war, regardless of whether they were pro-independence or pro-federation.
Even today, it remains in use as old-style equipment in the armies of the former Yugoslav constituent countries.
