Vintage 1940s made in occupied Japan character mug/Toby cup. This one is very finely colored and realistic. He has a red colonial hat and a red beard. He's a very handsome fellow. Nice addition to jug collection.
Use it as a toothpick holder, salt cellar with a little spoon, bud vase, etc. Nice, conversation-starter gift. Or you ladies that love a bearded man- put him next to your affirmations journal!

Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Very nice example and painted by expert level painter. Stamped on bottom made an occupied Japan in black.
