Especially Yours vintage velvet dress

Lovely hot pink "crushed" velvet dress is from the late 1960's early 1970's. 85% arnel, 15% nylon. Machine wash. Pull over. Elastic waist is no longer stretchy. It has a matching skinny belt. You could replace the elastic but if you wear a belt it not noticeable. The back is lower cut. Back vent. My favorite thing about this dress is the sleeves. The are a longer short length and gathered with just enough poof at the shoulder with out shoulder pads. The velvet fabric was probably not originally crushed but with being folded and stored it has a crushed look. I tried steaming and some came out and some didn't. It's marked size 7, more like todays 4. My mannequin is a 2 and it's just a little big. It measures 40" L. Laying flat seam ot seam it's 17 1/2" across under the arms, 15 1/2" at the waist, 18 1/2" at the hips. It has a black and white union label which helps date it to before 1975. Made in USA.
