Soundly bound but the binding to the end covers is absent. But all pages are fully intact and all are present. Pages within have some markings, and a few pages have tears. Corners of the end covers are lightly shelf bumped with superficial fray at bottom front corners.
One of the earlier books pictured by highly regarded illustrator, Helen Sewell, who was also the original illustrator of the Wilder Little House books. This collection of related fairy tales is surprisingly scarce. The original Norwegian edition was published by Aschelon, Oslo, under the title Magic Mountains'."
