Tatsuro Yamashita "Christmas Eve" 1990 7-inch First Limited Edition White Vinyl

Five years after the release of the 30,000-copy limited edition "Christmas Eve" 12-inch picture single record in 1983, the song was used as the background music for JR Tokai's Shinkansen CM "Christmas Express," and did Tatsuro Yamashita's "Christmas Eve" experience a resurgence in popularity? Perhaps "exploded" would be a more accurate description than "resurgence." As a Tatsuro fan, I felt a bit uncomfortable with the catchphrase "Summer, the sea, and Tatsuro!" up until then. I thought that Tatsuro didn't need to push himself so hard to sell records; we fans would support him as long as he kept making music. However, this hit made me feel that the wonderful Japanese musician Tatsuro Yamashita had been discovered by music lovers all over the country (and later, in the 2010s, by DJs around the world). I apologize for the long preamble. And then, calls for a reissue of "Christmas Eve" grew louder. As expected, MOON Records, considerate of the fans, released the first reissue as a 7-inch white vinyl. The jacket was also very stylish, resembling a gift case♪ This too sold out immediately. From this year on, "Christmas Eve" was released in various forms every year.
