"Chapter of Hagoku" is the first of three volumes in the "Sengoku Kitan Yotoden" series and is the prologue to the story. This chapter depicts the backgrounds of the protagonists and the world view of the story, and the battle of the shadow ninjas against the terror of Oda Nobunaga and the demon "Oboro-shu" begins.

Story
Background:
In the late Sengoku period, Oda Nobunaga, with the demon "Oboro-shu," advances towards unifying the country.
The "Kasumi Village," where the shadow ninjas live, is attacked and destroyed by Nobunaga's orders.
Appearance of the protagonist:
Ayame, a surviving girl, disguises herself as a man and calls herself "Ayanosuke" as a shadow ninja.
Ayanosuke is entrusted with a kodachi (short sword) that has the power to destroy demons and vows revenge.
Meeting with companions:
Ayanosuke meets Sakon, who wields the demon blade "Tachi," and Ryoma, who uses a halberd, and they decide to fight against Nobunaga and the Oboro-shu together.

Story development:
Through battles with demons, Ayanosuke and the others become aware of their own power and mission.
Fierce battles with Nobunaga's Oboro-shu are depicted, and the story continues into the next chapter.

Ayanosuke (Ayame): The protagonist. A shadow ninja in disguise, who fights with a kodachi.
Sakon: A ninja who wields the demon blade "Tachi." Calm and collected personality.
