★What is Ata?
A type of fern, it is a famous craft from Tenganan Village in Bali, made by carefully weaving the long stems that have been split lengthwise.
It is made through the process of weaving → sun-drying → coloring → shade-drying, which takes time and effort to complete.
It has a unique scent (due to being smoked with coconut juice) and is also insect-repellent and mold-resistant.
