This is a very unique piece both homemade and handmade. Using sticks found outside to make the legs which are inserted into a stuffed angel cloth doll (faceless with wings), featuring hair made of yarn and finished off with buttons in various colors and sizes. The aprons hint that this doll was likely made in 1894-5 as a gift to give in 1896, however one of the buttons in the hair say Esleep which appeared on pajamas in the 1990s. They look to be more modern buttons, not those made of shell common in the late 1800s. As such I believe this was made in the 1990s, with a nod to 100 years prior.
Each apron features a hand-stitched month and corresponding art design. Some such as December have added textural elements like more sticks and extra fabric. A very very well crafted and interesting doll and clothing!
Measures roughly 22.5" tall and 3" wide.
