A masterpiece from the early days of Engineered Garments, released in the 09SS season.
Model name: NEWPORT SHORT (Newport Shorts) Tropical Floral
One of the standard short pants styles from Engineered Garments, the utility shorts.
The outer fabric uses bark cloth with a Hawaiian floral pattern.
Bark cloth is a fabric with a history in Hawaii, a thick cotton fabric also used for curtains, similar to a slub weave.
It was reissued in 19SS as "Sunset Short," but Java cloth was used at that time.
These are unique shorts with 11 pockets of various sizes attached irregularly, and they are a particularly practical model among the pants in the lineup.
The silhouette is neat and slim, with a length that reaches the knee, so I think you can match them with various coordinates.
The front uses a chrome TALON zip.
