M Select Warm gives lightweight, low-bulk insulation for the warmth required while winter hiking. Merrell treated the upper's lining in M Select Fresh for anti-odor comfort. Underfoot, the Thermo Cross features a nylon shank under the contoured Kinetic Fit Base footbed for arch support and comfortable stability. Vibram's Arctic Grip is specialized for icy surfaces and frozen hiking trails.
