Issued in 1986 (Showa 61) to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Emperor Showa's reign. The obverse depicts the Shishinden. The Shishinden is the building where the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Showa took place, and it is the main hall used for important events such as the Daijosai (Great Thanksgiving Ceremony). It is located within the Kyoto Imperial Palace. On the other hand, the reverse side features the Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest.
