This is a rare bolt of fabric from the Showa era, made by Toray, called "Bakansu." It's a blend of polyester and linen, offering the texture of linen with the easy care of polyester, making it the perfect fabric for summer kimonos and yukata. The elegant pattern, reminiscent of maple leaves in subdued colors, is very refined. It's recommended not only for kimonos but also for Japanese accessories, remakes, and interior fabrics.
