Handmade crochet car seat ponchos

This is a handmade crochet car seat poncho. My daughter is seen wearing it when she was 5 she is 8 now and it still fits her. There are removable buttons on the sides. You can remove them for the younger kids.

Each poncho has individual stitches at the neckline once the opening for the head becomes too tight, carefully snip the contrasting color yarn closest to the hole. Only snip one at a time until it fits properly.

In the car buckle your child as you usually would.
For infants you can cover the car seat as shown or use it as a blanket.

For toddlers and kids in a 5 point harness still, you can slip it over their head, lay the back on the back of the car seat and use it as a blanket in the front.

For the older kids not in a harness, wear as a poncho!

These are very warm and have kept my kids warm enough going from the car to straight inside. We don't use winter jackets in the car.
