While most-known for his work City of God , he also wrote many other treatises on aspects of the Christian faith. His stance on free will vs predestination and fatalism were supported by and still is supported by, the Catholic Church, as his teachings on free will are consistent with modern doctrine. This 17th-century printing of the works of Saint Augustine includes two of his most important works The Soliloquies and Meditations . Meditations is a collection of early church prayers and devotions along with teachings designed for priests and monks, while Soliloquies is a dialogue of questions and answers posed by Augustine.
