A scorching frontier!
A captivating dancer dedicates her passion to an outlaw who has devoted his life to bloody conflict!

In northwestern India, near the Afghan border. Zarak (Victor Mature), the eldest son, has an affair with Selima (Anita Ekberg), the wife of Haji Khan, who rules the village. Haji orders him to be flogged, but is dissuaded from killing him by a Muslim saint, and exiles Zarak from the village.
Three years later, Zarak has become the leader of a band of thieves terrorizing the town of Ziarat. He attacks the entourage of Ingram (Michael Wilding), a newly appointed British administrator, who barely manages to reach Abbot Fort. Zarak, having heard of his father's death from his brother, reunites with Selima, who has become a belly dancer, at a shop. A peddler had saved Selima from being killed by Haji. Their love rekindles, and Zarak proposes marriage to Selima, but the law forbidding marriage to one's father's wife stands in the way.
Meanwhile, Ingram takes advantage of Zarak's absence and attacks the camp, capturing his men, but they are recaptured by Zarak. Zarak, having gone to meet Selima, is enraged to see her dancing in front of customers, throws money at her, and leaves.
Ingram leads the British army and confronts Zarak, and after a fierce battle, finally captures him. However, Zarak crosses the Afghan border, enlists the aid of Ahmad's soldiers, and plans to attack Abbot Fort and Ziarat.
Victor Mature of "Duel in the Sun" plays the man who has devoted his life to conflict, and Anita Ekberg of "La Dolce Vita" plays the alluring beauty who loves the man devotedly in this action epic filled with Orientalism.
