This is a reissue album featuring 19 previously unreleased demo tracks from Arthur Russell's early 70s, when he was immersed in the New York avant-garde and disco scene.
Arthur is known for his wide range, from experimental disco to ambient and leftfield music, consistently releasing high-quality works. However, this album focuses on folk music (with a hint of bluegrass influence, I think).
Personally, this is the kind of music I'd want to listen to on a clear, sunny holiday morning in winter or spring.
