German Art Pottery, Retro, Mid-Century Modern Style Torpedo Vase with a Red Oxblood Glaze, Marked "Amano, 629-27, Made in Germany" in Overall "Excellent Plus" -no chips, cracks, stains, scratches or repairs of any kind, but there is one light glaze bubble that is common factory flaw. The stamped mark on the bottom appears to be in-mold and it has a trademark symbol which apparently belongs to Amano which reads " 629-27"
10 3/4 inches tall / base is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter and it weighs 1 pound, 8 ounces each.
These vases are also dual glazed with a beautiful red oxblood glaze on the outside and a black glaze on the inside which makes these pieces aesthetically superb as you can see for yourself. Dual glazing indicated multiple runs through the kiln and a high quality of clay. Timeless piece are a perfect set that appear to be in mint condition
