This figurine is 6.5" tall and has no mars, repairs, blemishes, or cracks. It is in perfect MINT Condition. The trademark (5 Last Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1972-79. This piece is one of two pieces created by master sculptor Alfred Moeller in 1936. The 2nd piece, “Culprits”, Hummel 56/A was released in the 1930s.
Sister Maria had a love of children and a whimsical nature; she sketched them in various situations. This one shows a girl up in an apple tree with flowers, a fence, a missing shoe, and a puppy with her shoe in its mouth.! With flowers on the ground and still in the tree, this was early Spring in Bavaria.
