Sankyo 1978 Antique Bisque Doll, Made in Japan, 45cm, Lace Dress

This is a bisque doll made by Sankyo (Sankyo Seiki), a long-established Japanese manufacturer, in 1978. It is an antique reproduction series doll manufactured in the 1970s, with the "1978 / Made in Japan / SANKYO" stamp on the back. This high-quality line was also sold for export to Europe, and was known for its excellent sculpting and coloring among Japanese-made dolls of the time.

The face and limbs are made of porcelain (bisque), characterized by a fine texture and natural cheek coloring. The eyes are fixed glass eyes, and the deep brown color creates a calm expression. The hair is a brown wig, and the soft curls give an elegant impression.

The outfit consists of an off-white cotton dress with a lace apron, drawers, and leather-style shoes. The delicate lace decorations are beautiful, and the doll has a classical atmosphere reminiscent of early 1900s Europe. There are some age-related stains and spots on the sleeves and hem, but the bisque parts are in good condition without any cracks or chips.

The doll is approximately 45cm tall, 22cm wide, and 9cm deep, making it an easy size to display. It has a cloth body, making it lightweight and stable, and suitable for displaying in a seated position.
