This is a pair of flared denim jeans from "BAR TACK," a denim brand from Kyoto. This rare piece was carried by select shops and is known to those in the know. I purchased it in the early 2000s.

The name BAR TACK comes from the Japanese word "kannuki," which refers to a craftsman's technique for reinforcing stitches. As the brand name suggests, it's a brand with a strong craftsman spirit. They made not only denim but also hoodies, and they were attracting attention in select shops at the time. They are no longer in production, making them a rare and hard-to-find item.
