In the late 1970s, when Japanese synthesizers appeared, innovative musicians such as Isao Tomita and YMO eagerly adopted them, and synthesizers began to be recognized as new instruments.

In the monthly magazine "Shoho no Radio," which was immensely popular among young people who enjoyed electronic work at the time, a series of articles titled "Circuit Construction and Thorough Guide to Music Synthesizers" was published from the January 1977 issue to the March 1978 issue.

It attracted attention among instrument fans and electronic work enthusiasts, as it stated that "one could build something equivalent to products that cost around 10 million yen at the time," "the mechanisms and principles of analog synthesizers are explained in an easy-to-understand manner," and "the circuits and construction are explained very carefully," leaving a significant footprint in the dawn of synthesizers, showing that even amateurs could keep up with their development.

This book adds the parts selection and circuit techniques of "how to do it now" to the articles in "Shoho no Radio," reviving the legend that remains relevant to the current analog synthesizer boom.
