Description:
Doctor And The Medics were formed in London, UK in 1982 by DJ Doctor. The band later became a six-piece, including two women, and debuted in 1985 with production by Andy Partridge of XTC. In the club scene at the time, there was a movement to appreciate past music not just as nostalgia, but as something ongoing, and their psychedelic sound and look attracted attention within this movement. Their single "Spirit In The Sky" released in 1986 became a major hit, reaching number one in the UK. This album is a 2011 remaster of their second album released in 1987.
