One for the LoTR nerds 😉 This is a complete set of recordings from the BBC’s dramatisation that aired in 1981. Ian Holm voices Frodo in this one, whilst a young Bill Nighy plays Sam and Michael Horden gives a turn as Gandalf to rival Sir Ian Mckellen! John Le Mesurier plays Bilbo and Robert Stephenson Aragorn. It’s marvellous to listen to, but it’s NOT a reading of the original book - rather a radio play. Still 100% worthy of any fan’s collection and an absolute classic!
