In very good, new condition I picked this up in Japan a few years ago it is a beautifully handmade tiger which is an ornament and also designed as a Sake cup. It doesn’t get more Japanese than this 🇯🇵 Details of artist on paper which will be provided and you can visit his website. Made in the Shiroku Kiln , a kiln located in Miata-cho, Kitamorogata-gun, Miyazaki Prefecture. The potter no longer makes these however used to make them each year in limited edition quantities. Each year slightly different to celebrate the new year of the zodiac. Hollow on the inside so has a use of being a sake cup. Measurement Approx 8.5cm by 5.5cm This really is a one of a kind piece for any collector of Japanese/ Tiger items.
