This series uses fabric dyed with indigo at a Kyoto indigo dyeing shop. To achieve the appealing texture of well-worn cotton, the items undergo a stone wash (garment wash) finish after sewing.
The stone wash process causes slight shrinkage and color unevenness in the fabric. Additionally, the metal hardware features a deliberately easily-chipped paint to create a used look. Each piece has a unique chipping pattern, giving the items a distinctive, well-loved feel, as if they've been used for years, despite being new.
