This is a shaggy check flannel shirt from BEAMS PLUS.

BEAMS PLUS started in 1999 with the concept of "authentic menswear that can be worn for years without getting tired of it." It is rooted in the universal styles of American trad, military, and workwear from the 1940s to 1960s.

It uses flannel fabric with a soft, warm shaggy brushed finish. The surface has slightly longer nap than typical flannel shirts, and it features a blanket-like, voluminous texture.

The pattern is a subdued Black Watch, based on navy and green. The addition of thin white lines prevents it from appearing too dark, giving it an elegant impression. The shaggy brushed material has a unique, slightly blurred, soft color.

The pattern is based on American-made button-down shirts produced in the 1960s, with narrow (3mm) seams on the sides and 18 stitches per 3cm throughout the sewing.

All processes are finished by skilled craftsmen in Japanese factories. The hem of both sides has a plus mark bar tack as a point, adding a BEAMS PLUS-like accent.

A center box pleat is applied to the back to ensure ease of movement. A hanger loop is attached to the top of the pleat, faithfully reproducing the traditional details of American traditional style.
